Does a higher setting create more sparkle?

Height alone does not determine sparkle. Moissanite's facet quality, cleanliness, lighting and obstruction pattern matter. Open sides may change how the ring looks from certain angles and can make cleaning access easier, but a low setting does not automatically make a stone dull.

Do not choose an exposed setting only because it is marketed as allowing “more light.” In many faceted stones, light performance is primarily governed by how light enters and returns through the crown and facets. Compare the actual ring under normal lighting.

Will a wedding band sit flush?

A straight wedding band sits flush only if the engagement-ring head, basket and prongs leave enough space at band height. A raised peg head may provide clearance. A low basket, halo rim or side stones may create a visible gap.
